The album documents some of Hendrix’s most historic performances with the Band of Gypsys at the Fillmore East in New York on December 31, 1969 and January 1, 1970. Jimi is beyond well known for absolutely shredding on the guitar and this album highlights his incredible ability to shred live. I can only imagine how epic this New Years show must have been. If only I had a time machine, I would be front row dead center, with hair down to my ass, tie die bandana, sheep skin vest, a couple tabs, handful of mucks, and doobies and boobies for days… artwork by Garry Brown [...]
